Types of 3D Printer Filaments

There are many types of 3D printer filaments. The most common ones are ABS and PLA, but there are many other materials available.

ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) is a very durable plastic that is used to create functional parts, such as gears and motors. It takes a bit longer to print with than PLA, but it's great for larger prints or objects that will be handled frequently.

PLA (Polylactic Acid) is a biodegradable polymer that is made from renewable resources such as corn starch or sugar cane. It's very easy to work with and produces very little odor during printing. It's also less brittle than ABS, making it ideal for delicate projects like jewelry or figurines.
